Mike Perlis, also known as Michael Perlis, is a prominent media and publishing executive based in New York, with extensive experience leading content and multimedia brands across lifestyle, health, and business sectors. He served as President and CEO of Forbes Media from 2010 to 2014 and currently holds the position of Vice Chairman at Forbes Media. Earlier in his career, Perlis was Chairman and CEO of IDG Peterborough, publisher of Gentlemen's Quarterly (GQ), and President of the Playboy Publishing Group. He also built the Rodale Active Sports Network, including founding Men's Health and Women's Health magazines and acquiring Runner's World. Additionally, he served as President at TVSM and co-founded New England Publications in Camden, Maine, marking the start of his media career. Perlis graduated from Syracuse University in 1976 with a BA in communications and remains connected to the institution as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Newhouse School of Public Communications.
