Max Prager (1918–2014) was an American businessman and World War II veteran, best known as the father of conservative commentator Dennis Prager. Born in 1918 to Polish Jewish immigrant parents, Prager grew up in the United States and was raised in a Modern Orthodox Jewish tradition. He served in the U.S. military during World War II, where he saw action in the South Pacific. After the war, Prager built a successful business career spanning two continents. He married Hilda Friedfeld (1919–2009), and together they raised their sons, Dennis and Kenneth Prager, in Brooklyn, New York, emphasizing strong family values and religious observance. Prager was remembered for his tall stature, extraordinary good looks, sharp intelligence, and remarkable memory, often described as leading a charmed life. In his later years, at age 85, he authored an autobiography titled 'Attitude and Gratitude,' chronicling his childhood, wartime experiences, family life, and professional accomplishments. He resided in Englewood, New Jersey, in his later years and passed away in 2014, leaving a legacy of resilience and familial devotion.
