Matthew Tyrmand (born 1981 in New York) is a Polish-American economist, conservative activist, journalist, and publicist. The son of renowned Polish writer Leopold Tyrmand, who originally intended to name him Mieczysław, he studied economics at the University of Chicago. He spent approximately a decade working as a stock trader and analyst on Wall Street before transitioning to media, activism, and consulting through his own firm. Tyrmand has contributed to conservative Polish publications such as 'Do Rzeczy' and 'Wprost', appeared on programs like Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec, War Room: Battleground, and Michelle Malkin Sovereign Nation, and founded alternative media projects including The Unreported Truths. As a trustee of Project Veritas, he has been involved in conservative investigative journalism networks. In early 2023, he came under scrutiny when accused by supporters of Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe of participating in a board coup that led to O'Keefe's removal from the organization (Newsweek reporting). Tyrmand is based in New York and maintains an active presence in U.S. and Polish conservative circles.
