Matt Kibbe is a prominent American libertarian activist, author, and media producer. He is currently the President of Free the People, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting libertarian principles through video storytelling, and a co-founder and partner at Fight the Power Productions, a firm specializing in strategic communications and video production. Previously, he served as President and CEO of FreedomWorks from 2004 to 2015, where he became a key figure and strategist in the Tea Party movement, co-authored the Contract from America, and collaborated with the 9/12 Project on national marches. His earlier career includes roles as a policy analyst at Citizens for a Sound Economy in the mid-1980s and as a congressional staffer and Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill. Kibbe has been involved in various film and media projects, including acting and producing roles in Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt? (2014), producing Off the Grid with Thomas Massie (2018), and producing How to Love Your Enemy: A Restorative Justice Story (2020). He is a well-known advocate for personal, civil, and economic liberties and has authored books on libertarianism, including Don't Hurt People and Don't Take Their Stuff: A Libertarian Manifesto.
