Mark L. Meridy is the Executive Director of DOROT, serving as the professional head of the organization. Prior to this role, he was Director of Operations for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Washington, D.C., and held senior positions at B’nai B’rith International, including Associate Executive Vice President, Deputy Director for the Center for Public Policy, and specialist in senior housing issues, where he liaised with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and congressional committees on aging. Earlier in his career, he focused on elder care initiatives involving senior transportation, home care, and day care for the elderly. In 2006-2007, he served as Project Director for DOROT's Meals on Wheels for the Homebound Program in New York. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from American University; Master’s degree in Public Administration and Certificate in Gerontology from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs; participated in the Institute for Executive Leadership at Columbia University’s Business School.
