About
Marina Lewin is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in banking and leadership roles in Jewish nonprofits. She began her banking career with Wall Street internships during her undergraduate studies at Barnard College/Columbia University, followed by brief initial work experience and a stint at Amnesty International. She earned her BA from Barnard College/Columbia University and an MBA in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. Her banking career culminated as Global Head of New Business Development for BNY Mellon, where she managed large teams in complex environments, grew businesses profitably, built strong client relationships, and mentored talent. She was recognized as one of The Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds in 2013.
Transitioning to nonprofits, Marina served as Chief Operating Officer at the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) from December 2016 to September 2022, leading a strategic plan that adapted through the COVID crisis and grew the organization to a $17 million annual budget with 37 full-time staff. In September 2022, she joined the Jewish Communal Fund as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Marina is committed to Jewish continuity and philanthropy. She serves on the Board of the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan and has been involved with organizations including Romemu (contributing to finance and operations) and Hazon.
