She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Pomona College and earned a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law. Forester de Rothschild began her professional career in 1980 as an associate at the New York law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, practicing corporate law until 1984, before joining telecommunications mogul John Kluge at Metromedia, where she became an early investor in cellular technology. She is a businesswoman and CEO of E.L. Rothschild.
