About
Lior Div is an Israeli entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and cybersecurity expert. He is renowned as the co-founder and CEO of Cybereason, an American cybersecurity technology company established in 2012, which he co-founded alongside Yuval Steinberg. He has served in multiple executive roles at Cybereason, including Chief Technology Officer and President, before becoming CEO in 2021. Cybereason is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with additional offices in La Jolla, California; London, UK; Tel Aviv, Israel; and other global locations. The company specializes in endpoint detection and response (EDR), endpoint protection, and advanced threat detection solutions for enterprises, leveraging behavioral analytics to combat sophisticated cyber threats and advanced persistent threats (APTs). Div's technical expertise stems from his military service as a veteran and former commander of Unit 8200, the elite Israeli signals intelligence unit within the IDF, where he served as a cyber operative, honing his skills in threat intelligence, cyber defense, and defensive strategies that later informed Cybereason's innovative platform. Prior to Cybereason, Div was a cybersecurity executive and held product management roles at Check Point Software Technologies. Under his leadership, Cybereason expanded globally, securing significant funding and partnerships worldwide, and positioning itself as a key player in proactive cyber defense. Beyond Cybereason, Div is co-founder and co-managing partner (managing general partner) of Team8, a Tel Aviv-based pre-seed venture fund and venture studio specializing in cybersecurity and enterprise software startups, where he applies his expertise as a serial investor in cybersecurity firms. He is also a co-founder of Claroty, a company backed by Team8. Div maintains strong ties to the Israeli tech ecosystem, collaborating with figures like Yossi Cohen (former Mossad director) and advisors such as Yoav Leitersdorf, and is affiliated with alumni from Unit 8200 and investors like Nadav Zafrir of Team8. Recognized as a thought leader in cybersecurity, he often contributes to discussions on national security and technological innovation, bridging military intelligence practices with commercial applications. As a prominent figure in the Israeli tech diaspora, Div exemplifies the 'Startup Nation' phenomenon, where alumni of elite military units drive entrepreneurial success, and his leadership underscores a commitment to combating sophisticated cyberattacks.
