Lawrence 'Larry' Trachtenberg, born August 30, 1954, is an American financial adviser who grew up in Queens, New York, attending Long Island City High School where he excelled as a cross-country athlete. At age 16, he participated in the inaugural New York City Marathon in 1970 as the youngest competitor. He continued his running career at Princeton University (class of 1976), placing in the top five for the varsity cross-country team, which qualified for national championships three times.
