About
Lahav Harkov is a journalist and senior political correspondent specializing in Israeli politics, US-Israel relations, and antisemitism. She grew up in Deal and Long Branch, New Jersey, United States, attending Hillel Yeshiva in Ocean Township, New Jersey, and The Ramaz School (high school, 2001-2005). She made aliyah to Israel in 2005 at age 17 and completed two years of Sherut Leumi national service at museums dealing with Jewish and Israeli history. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from Bar-Ilan University (2007-2010). Her career includes serving as a Knesset reporter for The Jerusalem Post (~8 years, starting when her predecessor was on maternity leave), News Editor and managing editor of JPost.com, Senior Contributing Editor and Diplomatic Correspondent for The Jerusalem Post, and co-host of The Jerusalem Post Podcast (with Yaakov Katz, then Avi Mayer). Since September 2023, she has been Senior Political Correspondent at Jewish Insider, covering Israeli politics and diplomacy. She is a contributor to New York Post, Tablet, National Review, Unherd, Commentary, AIJAC, and Washington Examiner, and a frequent lecturer on Israeli politics for organizations including AIPAC and Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations. She provides analysis to BBC, MSNBC, and France 24, and podcasts for the Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy. She lives in central Israel with her husband and three children. Recognized by Nefesh B’Nefesh as one of the Millennial Olim Who Are Making Their Mark on Israel and named by Jewish Telegraphic Agency as the 5th-most influential person on Jewish Twitter for social media reporting.
