About
Katharine 'Katie' Cornell Gorka, née Fairfax Cornell, is an American conservative activist, media producer, and national security analyst. She gained prominence through her roles in the first Donald Trump administration and her marriage to Sebastian Gorka, a conservative commentator and former deputy assistant to the president. Gorka served as a senior policy adviser in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from 2017, advising on homeland security strategies during the early Trump years, and briefly acted as press secretary for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for two months in 2019, handling communications on border enforcement and immigration policies. Her work focuses on issues of national security, immigration, and conservative policy advocacy, often intersecting with her husband's activities in right-wing media and think tanks, contributing to discussions on counter-terrorism and border security. Outside of government, she continues to engage in public discourse through writings, appearances, and organizational roles that promote traditional conservative values and national sovereignty.
