James Daniel Jordan, commonly known as Jim Jordan, is an American politician and former wrestler born on February 17, 1964, in Urbana, Ohio. He is the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 4th congressional district, a position he has held since 2007, currently serving his 10th term as a Republican. He is the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. Jordan co-founded the House Freedom Caucus in 2015 and is a prominent conservative known for his advocacy for limited government, fiscal conservatism, and traditional values. His background includes a distinguished wrestling career, graduating from Graham High School as a four-time state champion and becoming a two-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Before his congressional service, he served in the Ohio House of Representatives (1995–2000) and Ohio Senate (2001–2006).
