About
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), founded in 1983 by Orthodox Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Chicago with the mission to promote understanding and cooperation between Jews and Christians, build support for Israel, and provide humanitarian aid to needy Jews in Israel, the former Soviet Union, and worldwide. Originally named the Holyland Fellowship of Christians and Jews until 1991, it facilitates aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel), funds soup kitchens, elderly care, orphanages, bomb shelters, security vehicles, and emergency aid during wars and terror attacks. The organization has raised billions in donations, primarily from evangelical Christians, and operates affiliates in Canada (founded 2003), Brazil (2006), Australia and South Korea (2012), and Israel (Hakeren L'Yedidut). It helped establish Nefesh B'Nefesh for North American aliyah.
