The International Emergency Management Group (IEMG) manages the International Emergency Management Assistance Compact (IEMAC), a mutual aid agreement that facilitates assistance in emergencies or disasters among New England U.S. states and Eastern Canadian provinces without requiring a declaration of emergency. It supports planning, cooperation, exercises, and training in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding and resolutions from the Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers, thereby facilitating collaboration among emergency management agencies across U.S.-Canada borders.
