About
Holly Paz is a long-term Internal Revenue Service (IRS) official who has held various leadership roles, including serving as Director of EO Rulings & Agreements in the Tax Exempt and Government Entities (TE/GE) division during the 2010–2012 period, during which she was a deputy to Lois Lerner and oversaw the division responsible for processing tax-exempt status applications. She became a central figure in the Tea Party targeting scandal, where the IRS subjected conservative groups (including 9/12 Project groups) to additional scrutiny. Her later career included roles as Deputy Director (Content Development) and Commissioner of the Large Business & International (LB&I) Division. In 2025, she reached a settlement with the IRS and exited the agency following a lawsuit over the leak of her personal employment data, with reports indicating she was fired amid leadership restructuring.
