About
Hillel C. Neuer, born in 1970 in Canada, is the Executive Director of UN Watch and a prominent human rights activist. While an undergraduate at Concordia University, he worked at the pro-Israel think tank Canadian Institute for Jewish Research. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and is a member of the New York Bar. Neuer practiced commercial and civil rights litigation at the international law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. In 2007, he gained international attention for a speech at the UN Human Rights Council that led to his being banned from speaking there. He received an honorary Doctor of Laws from McGill University. On September 14, 2016, the City of Chicago declared 'Hillel Neuer Day' in recognition of his human rights advocacy.
