Henry George Jarecki, born on April 15, 1933, in Stettin, Germany (now Szczecin, Poland), into a German-Jewish family as the son of physician Max Jarecki and Gerda Kunstmann, is a physician, commodities trader, shipping heir, academic, entrepreneur, film producer, and philanthropist.
