Haim Divon is a retired Israeli career diplomat with over 41 years of service, born in Jerusalem, Israel, where he was encouraged by his parents to read National Geographic magazines as a boy, fostering his global perspective. He is a member of the Israeli Bar Association and an award-winning senior diplomat. Key positions in his career include: Head of the Israeli Interests Section in Colombo, Sri Lanka (1986); Ambassador to Ethiopia (1991-1993); Ambassador to Canada (2000-2004), succeeding Harry Kney-Tal; Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Head of MASHAV (Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation) (mid-1990s to early 2010s); and Ambassador to the Netherlands (2011-2016). Post-retirement, he has served as a speaker and consultant, including with Aegis Services. He is married to Linda Divon.
