George T. Conway III is an American attorney, seasoned litigator, and conservative political commentator. He earned an A.B. magna cum laude in biochemical sciences from Harvard College in 1984 and a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1987, where he served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal. Jean Carroll in her successful defamation case against Donald Trump. He is a co-founder of the Lincoln Project and a frequent critic of Donald Trump and his allies. Conway founded the Society for the Rule of the Law, an organization of conservative and libertarian lawyers defending constitutional governance, and co-hosts the podcast 'George Conway Explains It All' on The Bulwark. In late 2024 or early 2025, he launched a Democratic primary bid for New York's 12th Congressional District, emphasizing opposition to Trumpism, protection of the rule of law, abortion rights, and lowering costs; his campaign is based at PO Box 20066, New York, NY 10011. He has lived extensively in New York City, where his four children were born, and maintains an active presence on social media including X (@gtconway3d), TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, Threads, and Substack via georgeconwayforcongress.com.
