About
Florence James Graham (December 28, 1908 – September 22, 1977) was an American businessman born in Elbert, Georgia, who later settled in Central, South Carolina. He owned and operated a restaurant and bar, notably the Sanitary Cafe, which served as a local establishment in the small town. Some accounts also mention involvement with textile mills as an owner or manager. He married Mildred 'Millie' Graham, and the couple raised their family in Central, including their son Lindsey Olin Graham (born July 9, 1955). Graham's life was marked by his role as a provider in a tight-knit family, but he suffered a heart attack and died at age 68. He was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery in Central, Pickens County, South Carolina. His death came shortly after his wife's, leaving their son Lindsey, then 21, to navigate early adulthood independently.
