Face the Nation is a Sunday morning political interview program on CBS, created by Frank Stanton on November 7, 1954. It broadcasts Sundays on CBS television and radio networks from the CBS News Washington Bureau in Washington, D.C., featuring interviews and discussions with policymakers, political figures, government officials, and experts on current events. The program was extended to 60 minutes in 2012. Margaret Brennan has been the moderator since 2018, with the title updated to include her name in 2021. Previous moderators include John Dickerson (prior to 2018), Bob Schieffer (from 1991 onward, during which viewership peaked over 3 million and it won Emmys for Outstanding News Discussion & Analysis, the Edward R. Murrow Award, and the Overseas Press Club Award), and Lesley Stahl (prior to 1991). Producers include Anne Hsu, Avery Miller, Deanna Fry, Alana Anyse, Carol Ross Joynt, Jake Miller (senior producer), Elizabeth Campbell, Kelsey Micklas, Claire Moran, and Mia Salenetri.
