About
Eddy Shalev is a pioneering figure in Israel's venture capital industry. He co-founded the Mofet Israel Technology Fund, one of Israel's earliest venture capital firms, and prior to that, led CIBC-Oppenheimer's operations in corporate banking, sales, trading, and equity research for Israeli companies listed on NASDAQ. His early career began at IBM, where he served as a Large Systems Expert and Account Executive for IBM Israel, followed by a role as Large Accounts Strategic Planner for IBM United Kingdom. Shalev has held key roles in high-tech companies including Fundtech, Paradigm Geophysical, and Orbot Instruments. In 1997, he co-founded Genesis Partners, an Israeli venture capital firm, where he served as a founding and managing partner. The firm managed over $650 million across four funds, investing in more than 100 companies and achieving nearly 30 successful exits. Currently, Shalev serves as Chairman of F2 Venture Capital and as a director on the boards of Aternity, Profitect, and WorkLight. He is also Chairperson of the Trump Family Foundation in Israel and Chair of the Endowment Subcommittee at Beit Issie Shapiro, reflecting his involvement in philanthropy and education initiatives. Recognized as an Israeli angel investor, Shalev has been instrumental in shaping Israel's technology financing landscape through early-stage investments.
