About
Dustin Chao is an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Special Prosecutions Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey in Newark, where he joined in 2017 and focuses on prosecuting public corruption, fraud, and other white-collar crimes, including the Bid Rig case. Prior to this role, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting violent felonies as a trial prosecutor in the Trial Division and investigating public corruption cases in the Public Corruption Unit. Before entering public service, Chao was an associate at the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and clerked for the Hon. Dennis Jacobs, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He earned his A.B. from Harvard College in 2005 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2011.
