Devin Gerald Nunes, born on October 1, 1973, in Tulare County, California, is a former U.S. Congressman and current CEO of Truth Social. He grew up in California's Central Valley region on a family dairy farm with Portuguese immigrant roots, which shaped his early interest in agriculture and business. Nunes earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business management from California Polytechnic State University in 1996 and worked in agriculture and business consulting before entering politics. He served as a Republican U.S. Representative for California from 2003 until his resignation in December 2021, rising to prominence as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence from 2017 to 2019, where he was involved in investigations related to the Trump administration and became known as a staunch defender of President Donald Trump. In January 2022, he joined the Trump Media & Technology Group as CEO, overseeing the launch of Truth Social, and has since been appointed Chair of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board on January 20, 2025. He continues to be a key figure in conservative media and business circles.
