Daniel Boulud is a celebrity chef and restaurateur born on March 25, 1955, in Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu, France, and raised on a farm near Lyon. He trained under several renowned French chefs before moving to the United States in 1982, where he worked at the Polo Lounge and then as Executive Chef at Le Cirque in New York City, earning a four-star review from The New York Times that established his reputation. Boulud owns the flagship Michelin-starred restaurant Daniel and has expanded his culinary empire to include locations in Palm Beach, Miami, Toronto, Montréal, Singapore, the Bahamas, and Dubai. His cuisine blends French tradition with seasonal ingredients and contemporary appeal. He has also appeared as an actor in films such as 5 to 7 (2014) and Final Recipe (2013), and in the TV series Billions (2016). Boulud has been married to Micky Boulud since 1986.
