Born on May 4, 1969, in Jerusalem, Israel, Dana Weiss is a prominent Israeli television journalist. She served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces' Education Corps before earning an LL.B. in law and a B.A. in communications from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1995, becoming a certified attorney in 1996, and completing an LL.M. at Tel Aviv University in 2001. Weiss began her career as a reporter and editor at the Hadashot newspaper until its 1993 closure, then joined Channel 2 as legal affairs correspondent and commentator for nearly a decade, contributing to CNN International from 1996-1997. From 2002, she hosted programs including Meet the Press, the six o'clock news, and investigative shows. Currently, she is the host of 'Uvda' (Fact), Chief Political Analyst, anchor of 'Saturday News with Dana Weiss' on Channel 12—Israel's most-watched news program—and political and diplomatic correspondent.
