About
Charles A. Forman was an American business executive and longtime business associate of Sheldon Adelson, renowned for his partnership with Adelson in the early development of influential trade shows and conventions. As a co-founder and president of the Interface Group, Inc., established in 1970, Forman played a pivotal role in launching COMDEX in 1979, which grew to become the world's largest computer industry trade show, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees annually and solidifying Las Vegas as a convention hub. His collaboration with Adelson began in the 1960s through ventures like the Boston-based Apply Realty Co., which dealt in vending machines and real estate, and extended into the events industry, contributing to the foundations of Adelson's later casino and hospitality empire. Forman's strategic acumen helped transform modest operations into multimillion-dollar enterprises, though he largely stepped back from public roles as Adelson's interests shifted toward gaming in the 1980s.
