Catherine (Kay) Santorum, née Kania, was an American homemaker of Polish descent best known as the mother of former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum. Born on October 10, 1933, she married Aldo Santorum, an Italian immigrant who became a clinical psychologist for the Veterans Administration (VA).
