Bradford Jay Raffensperger, commonly known as Brad Raffensperger, is an American politician and businessman serving as the 29th Secretary of State of Georgia since January 2019. A Republican, he was elected to the position in 2018, defeating Democrat John Barrow, and was reelected in 2022 against Democrat Bee Nguyen. Prior to his role as Secretary of State, Raffensperger represented District 50 in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018, where he focused on issues like economic development, infrastructure, and election integrity. His tenure gained national attention during the 2020 presidential election, where he defended the state's voting processes amid claims of irregularities.

Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Raffensperger moved to Georgia in the early 1980s after completing his education. He built a successful career in business, co-founding Tela Bio, a medical device company, and previously working in the software and healthcare sectors.
