Aya Zahavi Feiglin is an Israeli musician, educator, and actress, born on May 30, 1987, in Hadera, Israel, where she grew up. She is the niece of Israeli politician Moshe Feiglin, as the daughter of his brother. At age six, she was diagnosed with bone cancer in one leg, underwent treatment, survived, but was left with a limp that she has referenced in her songwriting. After military service, she studied song composition at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music under Yehuda Edri, where she formed her band and now teaches songwriting. She has also taught literature and class management in middle schools in Ramat Aviv and Lod, and music in a school in Tel Aviv's Shapira neighborhood. As an independent singer-songwriter performing primarily in Hebrew, her genres include folk rock, pop, indie pop, and punk influences. She founded and led the band Kol HaHatichim Atzli (2007–2012), which participated in Kokhav Nolad season 7 (2009), released debut album Kol HaHatichim Atzli (August 2010) and second album #2 (June 2012), and disbanded after a nationwide tour. Her solo albums include Sheva Shirim (Seven Songs) (December 2015), Amerika mini-album (May 2017, produced by Ariel Tuchman), HaChayim Sheli Ktzarim Medai VaAruchim Nura (September 2020), HaAretz HaMuvtachat (March 1, 2022), and the live album Aya VeGuitar (March 25, 2025, recorded at Tel Aviv Culture Hall). She has numerous collaborations and covers, such as 'Gibor' with Ravid Plotnik (2021), a 'La Isla Bonita' Madonna cover (2021), post-October 7 performances emphasizing music's healing power, and 'Hei Achot' (March 8, 2024) for women's empowerment. In acting, she appeared in the film Like Me (2022). She resides in Tel Aviv, Israel, and gave birth to her first child, a son, in August 2022. While previously referenced as a journalist, no verified journalism career was found; she is primarily documented as a musician and educator.
