About
Arsen Ostrovsky is a human rights attorney and international speaker focused on human rights, international law, and advocacy for Israel. Born in Odessa, Soviet Union (now Ukraine), he and his family emigrated to Australia as refuseniks in 1987, settling in Sydney's eastern suburbs, where he rediscovered his Jewish identity during university years. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong (1999-2003). His career includes practicing corporate and international law in Australia and the United States; serving as Executive Director of the Zionist Council of NSW / Israeli-Jewish Congress (Australia); Research Fellow at the Hudson Institute; Associate Editor of EYE on the UN; and Head of the Sydney Office of the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC). He is also a freelance journalist. Ostrovsky is the CEO of The International Legal Forum. He is a survivor of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack in southern Israel and was injured (grazed by bullet) in the December 14, 2025 Bondi Beach terrorist shooting during a Hanukkah celebration, alongside family members, after which he relocated to Sydney, Australia, late 2025 following 13 years in Israel.
