About
Ari Harow is an American-born Israeli political consultant, born on January 1, 1973, in Los Angeles, California, United States. Raised in Los Angeles until age 12, his family moved to Israel in 1985. After completing high school in Israel, he served compulsory military service in the elite Golani Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces. He returned to the United States to attend City University of New York, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and later obtained a Master’s degree in Political Science from Tel Aviv University. Harow began his career in New York heading the non-profit American Friends of Likud and engaged in public life through the newspaper Makor Rishon and the Israel advocacy organization Honest Reporting. His involvement with Benjamin Netanyahu started in 2002, when he was recruited by Ron Dermer during Netanyahu's challenge against Ariel Sharon for Likud leadership. Harow rose to become Netanyahu's advisor, bureau chief, and chief of staff, serving as his diplomatic advisor and Chief of Staff. He is the author of the book 'My Brother's Keeper'. In a major corruption case, Harow was indicted but turned state's witness, testifying against Netanyahu. He now operates Sheyaan Consulting in Israel and works as a podcaster and consultant.
