Anshel Pfeffer (born 22 June 1973) is a British-Israeli journalist born in Manchester, United Kingdom, to a Jewish family. He is known for his work as a senior correspondent and columnist for Haaretz, where he covers military, Jewish, and international affairs, and writes the column 'Jerusalem & Babylon'. Pfeffer joined Haaretz in 2014 and also serves as the Israel correspondent for The Economist and The Times. He began his journalism career in 1997, initially covering the ultra-Orthodox community for a local paper in Jerusalem. Pfeffer is the author of the biography 'Bibi: The Turbulent Life and Times of Benjamin Netanyahu', which details Netanyahu's life in America and Israel, family history, military service, and political career. He is recognized for his insights into Israeli politics and global affairs over two decades.
