Anshel Pfeffer (born 22 June 1973) is a British-Israeli journalist born in Manchester, United Kingdom, to a Jewish family. He is known for his work as a senior correspondent and columnist for Haaretz, where he covers military, Jewish, and international affairs, and writes the column 'Jerusalem & Babylon'. Pfeffer joined Haaretz in 2014 and also serves as the Israel correspondent for The Economist and The Times. He began his journalism career in 1997, initially covering the ultra-Orthodox community for a local paper in Jerusalem. Pfeffer is the author of the biography 'Bibi: The Turbulent Life and Times of Benjamin Netanyahu', which details Netanyahu's life in America and Israel, family history, military service, and political career.
