Ali Hasan Abunimah is a prominent Palestinian-American journalist, activist, and author, and the co-founder of The Electronic Intifada, an independent online publication focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from a Palestinian perspective and known for its criticism of Israeli policies and pro-Israel advocacy, while also critiquing Israel-related media bias. Born on December 29, 1971, he serves as the publication's executive director. He is a leading voice advocating for a one-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and critiques U.S. support for Israel through his writings, public speaking, and media appearances, contributing regularly to outlets such as the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times and appearing on networks including CNN, MSNBC, and PBS. His activism began during his university years, and he has held positions such as vice-president on the board of the Arab American Action Network and fellow at the Palestine Center. Abunimah holds undergraduate and master's degrees in politics from Princeton University and the University of Chicago, respectively.
